One business. One problem. One week.

I find the one problem eating a local business’s week and fix it with modern tools — free, filmed, and measured. Then I publish the playbook so the next five hundred businesses like it can steal the fix.

AI is compounding for big companies. Main Street still runs on paper tickets, phone tag, and “we’ve always done it this way” — not because owners don’t care, but because nobody shows up, learns the actual business, and builds the thing.

That’s the show. That’s also the whole point.

How it works

01

You apply

Two minutes, one question that matters: what's eating your time?

02

We talk

A 20-minute call. I pick problems where one week of focused work moves a real number.

03

I show up

A few days in your world — the counter, the truck, the back office. The problem is never what the software thinks it is.

04

I build the fix

Modern tools, one week, in front of you. No jargon, no transformation roadmap. A working thing you own.

05

We measure

Hours saved, calls answered, no-shows cut. A real number, checked again 30 days later — published either way.

06

I publish everything

The episode, and the open playbook — so any business like yours can copy the fix for free.

You get

  • A week of focused help on your worst problem
  • A working fix you own outright
  • A measurable result, not a slide deck
  • Zero bill

I ask

  • Let me film the real thing — mess included
  • Share the before-and-after numbers
  • A 30-day follow-up, published either way

Cameras not your thing? Apply anyway — some of the best problems won’t be episodes.

Three episodes. Filming now.

  1. Now

    The mission

Help independent businesses benefit from AI rather than be left behind by it. One at a time, in person, for real.

  2. Next

    The media brand

Every transformation filmed and published — YouTube, podcast, newsletter, short-form. The work is the content.

  3. Then

    The open platform

Repeatable fixes, open-sourced. One bakery's solution should help five hundred other bakeries.

  4. Later

    The network

Students and local operators running projects on the same playbook and quality bar, city by city.

Bring me your problem

Two minutes. Be specific about the thing that eats your week — that’s the only part that matters.

No spam, no list, no obligation. This goes straight to Jake.

Is this really free?

For Season Zero, yes. The episode and the open-source playbook are the payment. You keep everything I build, outright.

What can you actually fix in a week?

Scheduling chaos. Missed calls. Sunday nights re-typing paper into QuickBooks. No-show bleeding. Quotes that take four days. A Google listing that’s wrong. One problem, chosen carefully, done well.

What if the fix doesn't work?

Then the episode says so. The 30-day follow-up number gets published whether it’s good or embarrassing. That’s the whole point of the format.

Do I need to be tech-savvy?

No. You need to know your business cold — that’s the hard part I can’t do. The technology part is mine.

I don't want to be on camera.

Apply anyway and say so in the form. Some of the best problems won’t be episodes, and I’d still like to hear them.

Know an owner who should see this? Send them here. Warm introductions make the best episodes.
